the oldest existing cathedral in the Americas, also known as Catedral de Santa Maria le Menor was built in phases between 1513 and 1544, it's design composing both Gothc and Renaissance elements. Tor hundreds of years the remains of Christopher Columbus and his son, Diego, were buried near the main altar until being moved to Faro de Colon.
